What Our Clients Say

Great Experience!

Al is very knowledgeable about the construction of a home. Knowing how it was built and what can be done to improve it weighed heavily on our decision. Al’s expertise in this area along with his constant search for new properties helped us tremendously. I will buy more properties and again rely heavily on Al to help us.

Cliff P.

Great Experience!

We had a great experience buying a house with Shirley. She took care of us from beginning to the end. Our situation was unique in that we were purchasing a house in Indiana while living in Texas. This caused some interesting dilemmas but Shirley helped us through each obstacle including putting an offer on a house while we were boarding a plane and physically checking on the house when we couldn’t be there. We would do it all again and highly recommend Shirley!

David and Kristy Easley

Great Experience!

We have absolutely loved working with Shirley! She is so gracious and motherly and her smile and personality radiates! We have felt taken care of every step of the way in this buying and selling process! Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Sarah

Great Experience!

Shirley is the best, period! We could not have gotten through this process without her! Purchasing our first home brought about many questions, uncertainties, and stress, but Shirley helped ease our minds and answer every question along the way. Our growing family will forever be thankful for her help and guidance throughout this whole journey! She is now a part of the Goyke family!!

Emily Goyke

Great Experience!

Shirley is an amazing person, and her kind and caring personality helped to put my wife and me at ease during our first home buying process. She is extremely professional and very thorough in her understanding of all things home buying. We know this to be fact as we had TONS of questions for her, and she either knew the answer off of the top of her head every time or had us an answer in short order. Shirley made the home buying process as stress-free as possible and made sure we ended up in a great home. We LOVE you Shirley and we look forward to telling everyone we know how awesome our real estate agent was!

Keith Vandewalle

She didn't rush us to pick any house, she always told us to take our time. Shirley was a wonderful person to work with and we will make sure to get her name out there because she did a GREAT job with us. We LOVE our realtor! Thank you Shirley for ALL you did for us!

Marco Martinez/Mirella Avika

Great Experience!

We worked with Denny on both ends of our recent real estate transaction, selling a home in Fort Myers and purchasing in Indianapolis. This was actually the third home purchase we have done with Denny. So by now, he is a trusted friend! Denny's long history in the real estate business makes him among the most knowledgeable in the industry. He's also just a great guy. We highly recommend working with Denny! Everything went smoothly and was accomplished in the tight timeframe we needed. Thanks, Denny.

Laura Gates

Shirley DeMerchant greatly assisted us as we went through the home building process with Arbor Homes. She was great at communication and being responsive and she fought for us whenever we needed her assistance. Thanks for all your help Shirley!

Kyle and Rachel

Great Experience!

As first-time home buyers, we were a little nervous about what to expect from a realtor. Luckily when we started working with Tony all our nerves went away! He could not have made it a more pleasant experience. He helped us understand the entire process and answered any questions we had at any time! The best part about working with Tony is that he will always provide his thoughts and will steer you away from a bad decision. We had complete confidence in him to help us make the best decision we could for our needs. In a tough market environment, Tony is able to negotiate well. We would not have our house now without him! He will be our first call when we look at purchasing/selling our next home.

Kirstyn and Jacob

Great Experience!

Albert Turk was awesome! We worked with him on the selling and buying aspect, he was very knowledgeable and always willing to answer our questions. It was also great working with someone who took our preferences into consideration as well as providing advice when needed. He was very flexible, helpful and just an overall pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Albert Turk to anyone who is looking to buy or sell your home!

Nathan and Tina Noyes

Great Experience!

Tony originally assisted us when we purchased our first home 5 years ago. He was so wonderful to work with then, that when we decided to randomly list our house this winter, it was a given that he was our first contact! We wanted to get it listed pretty quickly and he made himself available as soon as we needed him. Tony is so very knowledgeable in every aspect of real estate. He's honest and won't lead you down the wrong path, whether you're buying or selling. He keeps you updated throughout the entire process. He's always available anytime, whether it be via text, email, or phone. He doesn't make you feel like you're just "another" client. He really treats you like a friend or family. He genuinely cares and will spend as much time as he needs to get your house sold or your house purchase complete. There wasn't any time during our house selling process where I felt concerned with his recommendations or worried that he was leading us down the wrong path. He actually makes the whole selling/buying process really enjoyable! And next time we are ready to buy or sell, we know we'll be calling him!

Jess

Great Experience!

As first-time buyers, the process of buying a home can be overwhelming. Brandon made the experience seamless for us. He was readily available during every step of the process — from the daily inventory emails, showings, inspection, and closing, he was always ready to help us in any way he could. To Brandon, you’re not just a client, you’re a friend.

Jessica

Great Experience!

Brandon was excellent in helping me find THE house I was looking for me and my family. He was great at giving me leads on a daily basis and was always available when I wanted to schedule a viewing. He was always very thorough in his housing evaluations. Since getting my house, I have referred people to him who have also shared the same great experience. I will continue to recommend him and will absolutely use him again for any future housing purchases.

Wes C

Great Experience!

Brandon made home buying fun and easy. He took the ideas we had and combined them into exactly the home we were looking for.

Seth Patton

Great Experience!

I put my house on the market thinking that it would sell...eventually. Shirley was optimistic and rightly so! My house sold in 4 weeks and RIGHT before Christmas. This could not have happened without the expertise of Shirley and her dedication to making this a painless experience! Very attentive and responses were timely. I would recommend Shirley to anyone who wants a professional and easy process to sell their house!

Stephanie Abel

Great Experience!

This is my second time around with Tony Markus of Viewpoint, and I have nothing but great things to say. We sold my house in 2 days initially, before the buyer's financing fell through, but Tony held on through to the end. We saw so many houses, and honestly, I felt like a burden, but it was of no matter to Tony. He just kept plugging away 'til we found the right place. Tony always made time for me and listened to my concerns. He answered my questions via text, email, phone call, you name it. Whether it was a late-night quick text or an early morning call to discuss terms, he was always listening and answering! I found a home I love, and it took a couple of months, but Tony never got frustrated (that I know of!), and was very patient, even after a few purchase attempts fell through for us. I highly recommend Viewpoint Realty, as they give a more personal touch than a lot of the bigger chains. They're not just in it for the commission. They want you to love where you live, and that's what matters to me.

David Fink

Great Experience!

Working with Melissa Ralph made our first-time home building experience effortless! Melissa began our home buying journey by assisting us in looking for pre-existing homes and when we decided to change directions and look into building our first home, Melissa was incredibly knowledgeable on all fronts. Melissa ensured we stayed as informed as possible throughout the entire home building process! She was even kind enough to join us in our design meetings to assist us in making the most informed and smartest design choices for our home and community. Melissa was also very prompt in responses to our questions whether it was via phone, text, or email. Our experience of building our dream home was positive from start to finish due to Melissa being so informative and assisting us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Melissa and will absolutely turn to her for future buying or selling needs.

SMOKE AND FIRE ALARMS

Fire alarms should be installed on every level of a home, including in the basement, as well as inside each bedroom and outside every sleeping area. To maintain your smoke detectors, be sure to test your home’s alarms once a month, replace the batteries at least once a year and completely replace them every ten years.

CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS

Carbon monoxide is undetectable to our senses, it’s because of this that CO sensors are absolutely necessary for home safety. You’ll want two to three carbon monoxide detectors in an average-sized home – more if your home is larger. Place detectors near heat-producing appliances, and replace them every five years. To make sure your detector is working efficiently, change its batteries once or twice a year.

FLOOD SENSORS

If you live in an area that experiences flooding and/or heavy rains, a flood sensor can monitor places prone to water damage, like attics, basements and crawlspaces, and warn you about water seeping into your home. Flood sensors can detect unusual levels of moisture, helping to protect your home from potential water damage. Not only is water damage costly – flooding ruins carpet, furniture, electronics, etc. – it can also lead to mold.

MOTION DETECTORS

Motion detectors are great for combating burglaries. There are many types of motion detectors to choose from to fit your home and your needs. Some basics include passive infrared, microwave and video motion detectors as well as dual technology motion sensors that combine different methods of monitoring. You may need more space to make room for a growing family or you need to downsize after your kids leave the nest. Whatever your motivations, you want to make sure that you’re timing it right. If you sell when home prices are plummeting, you may end up losing on the deal. If you sell when home prices are highest, there may not be a lot of buyers looking to move. So how do you know when it’s a good time to sell? A qualified agent can help you determine if the market puts you in a good place or not. But for your own personal situation, here are the signs telling you that now is the time to sell your home. You’ve Outgrown Your Home Whether you are expecting another child, caring for an aging parent, or have taken in your adult children, when you’ve outgrown your home, it may be time to sell your home. Consider the permanency of the change. Will the kids be there for a long time? How long will you be able to care for your aging parent? Buying a bigger home is one of the main reasons why homeowners choose to sell. You Need to Make a Change Change is inevitable. Maybe you’re tired of shoveling snow and you want to live in a warmer climate. Maybe you have to move so you can go after your dream job or you want to be closer to family. When change entails moving, then a home sale becomes necessary. Home Prices are on the Rise This is one of the riskiest reasons to sell your home. Sure you may get more than you ever dreamed for your home when prices are on the rise, but that also means that you will pay more for another home. Perhaps your agent can help you find a steal in a new location where prices are more level. Then you will have made a huge profit and a smart move. You Need to Downsize Many homeowners are selling in order to downsize. The baby boomer generation is moving into their golden years. The kids are all out of the house and you just don’t need all that space anymore. Selling now could add a nice healthy sum to your nest egg as well. As long as you are smart about how much of that profit to spend on a new place, downsizing could be just the right move for you financially. You Can No Longer Afford Your Home Sadly, there are homeowners who just can no longer afford their home. Whether it is due to divorce, illness, a death, a skyrocketing mortgage payment, or the loss of a job, change in your financial circumstances is a big red flashing sign that now is the time to sell your home. Waiting any longer could have catastrophic financial consequences. In any situation you find yourself in, an experienced agent is the key to helping you achieve your goals. Learn more about how to determine if now is the time to sell your home by contacting us today. It’s natural. A home is the largest and most expensive purchase that most people will make in a lifetime. It can either turn out to be a complete financial disaster or a smart long-term investment. The person standing between it being a huge financial mistake or a valuable asset is you, the agent. Still, the agent can only help as much as the buyer allows. As vital as having an experienced agent by their side is, there are things that first-time homebuyers have to do. Here is a list of tips to help first-time homebuyers help you the agent do the best job that you can do. When you are approached by a first-time homebuyer, share this list with them to help them get off on the right foot.
  • Tell Your Agent Everything: You don’t want any surprises; neither does your agent. Let them know upfront about any financial issues on your credit report. Be as detailed as possible about your goals and be flexible.
  • Make Lists: Write out a list of the things that you want and a list of the things that you need in a new home. Share this list with your agent so that they can better help find what you are looking for. Update or add to your list as you think of things and share those changes with your agent.
  • Keep Notes: Your agent is going to keep solid records of the homes that you see. However you should also keep your own notes as you go to open houses. After each home, share what you liked and what you didn’t like with your agent. That will help him or her narrow the search down for you.
  • Organize Your Documents: Keep your documents organized and all in one place. If you have a pre-approval letter, keep that with you on house hunts in case you decide to make an offer. Any documents that you will need like inspection reports or appraisals should be readily available as you search for homes.
  • Stay Positive: Maybe the most important tip for first-time homebuyers is to stay positive. Even after you have found the home that you want, made an offer, and had it accepted, the process of closing the deal can sometimes take longer than you’d like. Stay positive. If you’ve looked at several houses and still haven’t found what you want, stay calm. Trust your agent to get it right for you.
Speaking with an Agent An agent for first-time homebuyers is an invaluable asset. They can help you navigate the process when you are unsure of what to do next. You could call and speak with an agent if you have general questions. However, if you are ready to seriously start shopping for a home, you need an agent now. Feel free to contact us with your specific questions.
